The photographs in this portfolio were taken mainly in the 1960s and 1970s in Montreal. I was a very young and ambitious street, concert and newspaper photographer and enjoyed roaming about the streets, parks and markets of the city with a twin lens Rolleiflex camera, shooting assignments and concerts. I shot many celebrities. It was a different time, before digital and social media. There was no such thing as “selfies.” And photographing people on the streets was much easier to do than today. Between 1972 and 1977, I worked at two student newspapers namely, The Georgian (formerly Sir George Williams University) and the McGill Daily. I am very proud of the work I did back then as a young, emerging photographer.
