Cuba is an island nation of many contradictions. Due to a harsh economic embargo imposed by the U.S.A. since the takeover by the Communists in 1960, the country has suffered immeasurable economic hardship for over 65 years yet it is the Cuban people who have risen to the occasion and challenge and continue to demonstrate a humanity unparalleled in the Western world.

I have visited the island many times over the years, and each time I go it brings me great joy to experience life on the island through the art, the music, the water and the people.
